Bulgogi Marinade and Beef

1. In a food processor or blender, pulse the diced onions and pears until finely pureed.
2. Add in the soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, Gochujang, Traeger hot sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, mirin, salt, and black pepper. Blitz until well combined. This is your bulgogi marinade.
3. Place the super thinly sliced beef in a bowl or Ziploc bag with the marinade. Marinate for a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 3 hours. Do not marinate overnight as the pears can make the meat mushy.
4. Preheat your grill (e.g., Traeger grills) to 450F. Place a cast iron pan on the grill to heat with 1 tablespoon of avocado or canola oil. Wait until the pan is super hot.
5. Sauté any remaining diced onions (if not all pureed) in the hot pan until translucent. Then, add all of the marinated beef and any remaining marinade into the pan.
6. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. If you prefer the meat more cooked, continue for another 10 minutes (total 40 minutes).
7. Serve the flavorful bulgogi meat in tacos, burritos, salads, or over hot white rice.
