French Onion Soup Sliders

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add onions, salt and pepper. Cook 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deeply golden and caramelized. Set aside.
2. Gently combine beef, onion soup mix, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and Worcestershire.
3. Divide into 12 portions and form into slider patties.
4. Preheat the Traeger to 350°F.
5. Grill the sliders, flipping once, until cooked to your preferred internal temperature.
6. During the last couple minutes, pile on the Comté or Gruyère, close the lid and let it get gloriously melty.
7. Spread herb and garlic butter over the cut sides of the buns and toast buttered-side down on the Traeger griddle for 1–2 minutes.
8. Stack those juicy cheesy sliders onto the toasted buns, load them up with caramelized onions and DIG IN.
