This is a grilled version of the popular Korean street food, sotteok sotteok, featuring chewy Korean rice cakes and savory sausage on skewers, coated in a sticky sweet-spicy glaze. It's described as chewy, smoky, spicy, and sweet, perfect for grilling, and a personal adaptation of the dish.

Instructions

Preheat your Traeger grill to 450°F.

Par-boil rice cakes 2–3 minutes, then drain.

In a small pot combine BBQ sauce, gochujang, chili crisp, garlic paste and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer and whisk smooth.

Skewer alternating rice cakes and sausage.

Grill 3–4 minutes per side.

Brush generously with sauce and grill 2–3 minutes more until sticky and caramelized.

Sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds and serve.
