Once upon a Valentine’s Day

Thaw sheets of puff pastry. Cut out heart shapes from the puff pastry. From an additional heart, cut out a smaller heart from its middle. One sheet of puff pastry will yield four heart stacks. Place the hearts on a silicone baking mat. Whisk an egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of cream. Brush the hearts with the egg yolk mixture. Layer with the heart cut out and brush again with the whisked egg yolk mixture. Sprinkle generously with raw sugar. Preheat your Traeger grill to 400°F. Bake on the grill until golden, approximately 18 to 22 minutes. Remove from grill and cool completely. Fill with vanilla pastry cream, apple compote, Nutella, or smoked whipped cream. Drizzle with more chocolate and add strawberries or other berries. Serve to your loved one.
