Peanut Butter Balls with Pig Candy and Chocolate

1. In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of your favorite peanut butter, 1 cup butter, 4 cups confectioners sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp vanilla until really well combined.
2. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls.
3. Place the balls in the freezer to set for a minimum of 1/2 hour.
4. In a separate bowl, combine 12 oz melted semi-sweet or dark chocolate with 2 tsp crisco shortening. The shortening helps to thin the chocolate and add shine.
5. Dip the frozen peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate mixture.
6. Place a piece of pig candy on top of each chocolate-coated ball.
7. Add a star sprinkle to each ball, securing it with a dab of chocolate if needed, to make it festive.
8. Place the finished balls in the fridge to firm up, or freeze them a few days in advance until ready to serve. Enjoy!
