Recreate hot, flaky, perfect sausage rolls on the Traeger grill. These crispy, golden, savory, smoky, cheesy rolls are dangerously easy to make and perfect for appetizers, lunch, party trays, gameday, or late-night cravings.
Preheat your grill to 375°F. Divide the sausage meat into 3 logs. Cut the puff pastry sheet into 3 strips. On each strip, spread spicy mustard, then add a sausage log, sprinkle with shredded cheddar, and a dash of chipotle powder or your favorite BBQ rub (or minced jalapeño/poblano for extra kick!). Fold the pastry over the filling, seal the edges with a fork, brush the tops with the whisked egg wash, and score the tops with a knife. Bake on a parchment-lined sheet at 375°F for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature of the sausage reaches 165°F. Move the cooked sausage rolls to a wire rack and allow them to cool for a couple of minutes before devouring. For variations, you can coat them with everything seasoning, add extra cheese on top, or experiment with different fillings.
