An over-the-top, slightly unhinged Easter indulgence featuring chocolate eggs wrapped in bacon, smoked and cooked until crisp. This sweet, smoky, and salty creation is a unique and ridiculously fun tradition.
1. Freeze chocolate eggs overnight until rock solid. 2. Remove wrappers from the frozen eggs. Tightly wrap each egg completely in a slice of bacon, ensuring no chocolate is showing. Bacon at room temperature will be easier to wrap. 3. Preheat a Traeger grill to 225°F. 4. Place the bacon-wrapped eggs on a mesh rack inside a foil pan. 5. Smoke at 225°F for 30 minutes. 6. Increase the grill temperature to 300°F and cook for another 30 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp. 7. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
