This is a dessert that is so simple and so easy but absolutely beautiful to serve your loved one or beloved ones. You can change it up to any flavor profile that you like. Perfect for breakfast in bed or a late night dessert.
1. Thaw sheets of puff pastry.
2. Cut out heart shapes from the puff pastry. From an additional heart, cut out a smaller heart from its middle. One sheet of puff pastry will make four heart stacks.
3. Place the hearts on a silicone baking mat.
4. Whisk one egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of cream.
5. Brush the larger hearts with the whisked egg yolk mixture. Layer with the smaller heart cut-outs. Brush again with the whisked egg yolk mixture.
6. Sprinkle generously with raw sugar.
7. Preheat your Traeger grill to 400°F.
8. Bake on the grill until golden, approximately 18 to 22 minutes.
9. Remove from grill and cool completely.
10. Fill with your choice of vanilla pastry cream, apple compote, Nutella, or smoked whipped cream.
11. Drizzle with more chocolate and add strawberries or berries, then serve.
